Come learn German with us! Our A2.1 Intensive German course is in line with CEFR. To reach a sub-level, it takes 4 weeks. As a group you move onto the next level together. Our virtual classes typically have 5 – 12 participants.
What is an intensive course? For those of us that need to master the language quickly, an intensive course is the answer. Other types of courses are held only a few days every week, while intensive online courses expose you the German language at shorter intervals. Learning German online with an app or through on demand live classes where there is little interaction is sporadic and inconsistent which leads to our limited knowledge and mastery of the language to remain the same. That is also exactly what we want to avoid with our intensive courses. They run every weekday, Monday through Friday, in a group with a great teacher and a great karma.
Just like the evening online course, the online Intensive German course is available for all the levels from A to C and all their sublevels. All our courses at DAS Akademie are always structured in line with the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (CEFR). In our Intensive German courses, you will learn German at a good pace and you will be completing 1 level after 4 weeks already.

You will use the course book Schritte Neu International by Hueber. Through the book and through your teacher, you will also gain access to many digital learning materials.
Live classes take place Monday through Friday between 10:00 and 13:15 Berlin time in groups of 6 to 10 participants. We can also open classes with 4 participants and offer the same curriculum Monday through Friday, between 10:00 and 12:30. Smaller groups get more interaction time and achieve the same results within 4 weeks.
The A2.1 intensive German course is held on zoom, a high quality video-conferencing tool that has great education features. One of our teacher will lead the live sessions on zoom in which students will connect and interact with the teacher and each other. We focus on communication as a teaching method, and give you the feeling of being in a real classroom. Just as in our ‘normal’ classes, the teacher will share extra material, give assignments and follow up on your progress.
DAS Akademie organizes its courses in Mitte, in the middle of Berlin. Deutsche Akademie für Sprachen has over 20 years of experience in teaching languages. We go by a speak policy, because we truly believe that speaking is key in building up the confidence in mastering a new language. Not only do we offer online courses, but we also have in person classes. Be sure to check out our German courses in person too!
